The Dawes Arc electric folding bike has been completely redesigned, offering a sleek new look and nearly double the battery range—all while preserving the easy-folding convenience that’s made it a favourite among commuters, caravaners, motorhome owners, and boating enthusiasts.
At the heart of the new Arc is a 375Wh integrated battery, delivering up to 40 miles (64 km) of assisted riding on a single charge. Recharging from empty takes just 5 hours, making it practical for everyday use. Power is supplied by the trusted Bafang rear hub motor, offering 32Nm of torque—plenty to tackle steep hills with ease and glide effortlessly on flatter roads. It even includes a USB charging port for your phone or other gadgets on the go.
The motor system features multiple assist modes, all controlled from a backlit handlebar display. The display also shows vital stats including battery level, speed, trip distance, and total mileage.
Shifting is handled by a 1x7 Shimano Altus/Tourney drivetrain with an upgraded trigger shifter for reliable performance. Stopping power comes from mechanical disc brakes, ensuring safe and confident braking in all weather conditions.
After years of refining folding bike design, Dawes has settled on 20" wheels for the ideal mix of comfort, speed, and portability—striking a better balance than smaller 16" alternatives. The addition of 20x2.40" high-volume tyres adds plushness to your ride, mimicking the feel of suspension without the extra weight.
Folding the Arc is a breeze: foldable pedals, a collapsible stem, and a frame that folds in half—done in three steps and under 15 seconds. It’s just as quick to reassemble and get riding again.
Built around a lightweight alloy frame, the Arc is easy to lift into storage or onto public transport. A one-size-fits-all geometry and adjustable height stem make it suitable for riders from 5'0" to 6'2" (152–188 cm).
For all-weather commuting and utility, the bike comes fully equipped with a custom pannier rack, full-length mudguards, and a kickstand—all included as standard.
